# pluto: the ghost client.

> pluto is a client for Minecraft: Java Edition that lives in the game and updates itself every time you play. built on Fabric, for windows, macos and linux.

a ghost client stays out of your way. pluto lives inside Minecraft: its menu opens in the game, and it closes when the game does.

runs on: Fabric, windows, macos, linux.

## set it up once.

after your first login, the launcher looks after updates, signatures and your license by itself.

### always up to date.

your build downloads when you start the game, so there's nothing to reinstall. the two newest are kept, and older ones warn you before they stop.

### stable or nightly.

stable gets builds once they've been tested. nightly gets new builds and modules first, with the odd rough edge.

### profiles you can share.

keep a few setups and switch between them in the game. share one as a short code, or import someone else's.

### signed builds.

every build is signed for its channel, so you know it came from us. the launcher won't start one that's been revoked.

### very little data.

an account, hashed machine ids and a log of logins and downloads. the privacy policy lists all of it.

## what's in, and what's next.

the launcher is done. the in-game menu is being built now, and nightly gets each new piece first.

1. **pick a plan**: stable or nightly, monthly or yearly.
2. **log in to the launcher**: it's under 1 MB, and your license binds to that computer.
3. **play**: your build, about 6 MB, downloads and keeps itself up to date.

prices include vat. checkout is not open, and no payment is taken until you complete a purchase. plans renew until cancelled. you can cancel in one click from your account or by email, without giving a reason. each license covers one computer.
