These terms are a binding agreement between you (the "user", "you") and the operator of pluto ("we", "us", "our"), who trades as pluto and is based in sweden. Our contact details are published in section 21 and on the contact page. By creating an account, purchasing access, downloading the launcher, or using any build, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms and to the privacy policy and refunds policy, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not create an account, do not pay, and do not use pluto.
consumer rights. Nothing in these terms limits any right or remedy you have under applicable mandatory consumer law. That includes, where the law gives them to you, rights concerning conformity of digital content and services, repair, replacement, price reduction, termination, refunds, withdrawal, and legitimate payment disputes. Our support, billing, and refund procedures help you exercise those rights promptly. They do not replace or restrict those rights.
1. product and affiliation
pluto is an independent third-party modification for Minecraft: Java Edition, distributed as machine-specific builds through an authenticated launcher. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to Mojang AB, Microsoft Corporation, or any server operator. Our launcher, our builds, and this site do not reproduce or redistribute Mojang or Microsoft intellectual property such as game code, artwork, text, or logos. References to Minecraft and its editions describe what the software is for. You must own a legitimate copy of Minecraft to use pluto, and nothing in these terms grants you any right in Minecraft or in anyone else's intellectual property. User-generated material in our community is posted by users, not by us.
2. eligibility and restrictions
You must be at least 18 years of age and have full legal capacity to enter into contracts. pluto is not directed at children, and we delete accounts we learn are held by anyone under 18. You may not purchase or use pluto if you are located in, ordinarily resident in, or acting on behalf of a person in a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions, or if you are listed on an applicable sanctions or denied-party list. We may decline a sale, suspend, or terminate where we have reasonable grounds to believe continuing would break the law, create a payment risk we cannot accept, or harm the service or its users. Where we end a paid term for reasons other than your breach, we refund the unused part of the term you paid for, as described in section 10.
3. license and permitted use
Subject to your compliance with these terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the build matching your plan (stable or nightly) on one machine, bound as described in section 5. You do not own the software, and no title or intellectual property right is transferred. Each account is for one natural person. You may not sell, rent, lend, lease, share, gift, transfer, assign, sublicense, publish, or otherwise make your account, credentials, license tickets, session tokens, or builds available to anyone else, whether for money or free, including through reselling, boosting, account rental, or configuration-selling services.
To protect the software, the client checks its own integrity while it runs. If it detects that it has been modified, or is being debugged or injected into, it stops and sends us a short report, as described in the privacy policy. Each build you download carries an identifier linked to your account, so a copy found outside your account can be traced to it. An identifier alone is never the only basis for enforcement: we confirm it against other records first.
4. plans, billing, and subscriptions
Access is sold in monthly and yearly plans for the stable and nightly tiers, as described at checkout. The price shown before payment is the total amount payable, inclusive of VAT and of any other taxes we are required to charge. We do not add card surcharges or charge fees on top of the displayed price. Where you pay in cryptocurrency, any network fee charged by that network is set by the network and paid by you directly to it; it is not a charge by us.
Both plan types renew automatically at the then-current rate until cancelled. Before your first charge, we show you the price, billing interval, renewal date, and cancellation process. We obtain your affirmative consent and send an order confirmation recording these terms on a durable medium (email). Where the law requires a reminder before automatic renewal, we send it to the email address on your account at least one month before the renewal date, and we keep proof that we sent it.
You may cancel at any time through the same medium you purchased in. For a purchase made on this site, that is a single cancellation control in your account, or an email to contact@pluto.lgbt. You do not need a Discord account to cancel, and cancellation is never obstructed by a retention offer or a support ticket. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term: access continues until that date, we confirm the date access ends, and we do not charge you again. Unused prepaid time is not refunded, except where the law requires it, where the product does not conform, or where we end or discontinue your paid term for a reason other than your breach.
We may change prices for future terms. We give at least 30 days notice before a price increase takes effect, the new price applies only from your next renewal, and you may cancel before it takes effect. Obvious pricing errors may be corrected or the sale cancelled, with a full refund of what you paid. We use third-party payment processors, so your payment is also subject to their terms. We report suspected payment fraud to processors and, where appropriate, to law enforcement.
5. machine binding (hwid)
Your license is bound to a single hardware identity, collected at first login as described in the privacy policy. A second machine presenting different hardware is rejected. Self-service resets open once every 7 days, and support may reset at any time for legitimate support or enforcement reasons. Deliberately falsifying, spoofing, or virtualizing hardware identifiers, or sharing a bound machine's identity with another person, is a breach of these terms. We may refuse the login, suspend the license, or terminate it. A login from different hardware is refused automatically; suspensions and terminations are not automatic: we review the records and explain our findings, and you can ask for a human review of either by emailing legal@pluto.lgbt. Nothing in this section removes any statutory right or remedy.
6. acceptable use; prohibited conduct
You shall not, and shall not permit or assist any other person to:
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, unpack, dump, or debug the launcher or any build, except to the extent that applicable law grants you a right that cannot be waived by contract, including the rights to observe, study, and test for interoperability, and then only to the extent strictly necessary to exercise that right;
- circumvent, tamper with, disable, or misrepresent authentication, hardware checks, license tickets, nonces, update signatures, build-revocation or sunset enforcement, or any integrity mechanism;
- copy, reproduce, redistribute, leak, re-upload, publish, stream the internals of, or create derivative works from any build, in whole or in part, or extract and reuse any portion of our code, assets, or branding, except as permitted by section 17;
- share accounts or credentials, sell or transfer access, operate reseller, boosting, or rental services using pluto, or use pluto on behalf of any other person;
- use pluto to harass, threaten, dox, defame, or harm any person, or to disrupt, degrade, or attack any service or network;
- use the trademarks, trade names, logos, or artwork of Mojang, Microsoft, or any third party in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation, or in any other way that is not descriptive reference to the product;
- use our name, marks, or branding without prior written permission, or present yourself as staff, partner, or reseller;
- use pluto for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of export-control or sanctions law applicable to you.
Support is available without a Discord account. A payment dispute with your bank is not a breach of these terms. Section 7 covers the rules and risks of using pluto on a server.
7. third-party terms and server rules
Using a third-party modification may violate the rules of the servers you join and, depending on how it is used, the terms of Mojang or Microsoft. The Minecraft EULA and usage guidelines change over time, and what they allow depends on the modification, how it is distributed, and how it is used. You are responsible for checking these requirements before using pluto and for complying with the rules of every server you join.
Server rules and enforcement systems change constantly, including in ways we cannot observe or predict. We make no representation, warranty, or promise, and no person speaking for us has authority to make one, that any server allows pluto, or that any account, server profile, ranking, inventory, or virtual item is safe from restriction, suspension, termination, or ban by Mojang, Microsoft, or a server operator. If a third party takes action against your account, that is your own risk. It does not, on its own, make the product non-conforming, but it also does not affect any right you have if we failed to deliver what you paid for.
8. updates, sunsets, and enforcement
We keep the newest builds per channel. Older builds display a warning before they are retired. Sunset, revoked, banned, or killed builds stop working. The client then stops the session, closes its interface, deletes the temporary files it extracted for that session, and refuses to launch against a revoked build. It does not delete your Minecraft installation, your worlds, or your settings.
A paid license gives you access matching your plan for as long as it is in force. During a term you have paid for, we provide the updates needed to keep the service working on the Minecraft versions we support. We do not promise a particular build, a particular feature, or continued support for a Minecraft version once that version is no longer supported by the game itself. We may modify or suspend parts of the service for security, legal, or operational reasons. If we discontinue a plan you have paid for, for a reason other than your breach, we refund the unused part of your paid term.
9. eu / uk withdrawal rights
If you are a consumer domiciled in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you ordinarily hold a 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract. Because pluto is digital content delivered on purchase, checkout asks you to tick an unticked box confirming that you request immediate performance and that you acknowledge losing the withdrawal right once performance has begun, under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU and the equivalent UK rules. We record that consent, with the wording shown, the version of these terms, the timestamp, and your transaction, and we repeat it in your order confirmation email, which is a durable medium. Without that consent and acknowledgment we cannot deliver.
Where you have a right of withdrawal and choose to use it, you can do so from your account or by emailing contact@pluto.lgbt, and we send you a durable confirmation. Statutory rights you have where digital content is not conforming are unaffected by the waiver of withdrawal.
10. termination and enforcement
We may suspend or end your license where you have materially breached these terms, including for: payment fraud; account sharing or transfer; hardware-identity spoofing; copying, redistribution, or leaking; reverse engineering beyond the rights in section 6; conduct that harms the service, its users, or our operations; or unlawful conduct. We tell you the section we relied on, and you can ask for a human review by emailing legal@pluto.lgbt. Where the breach is capable of remedy, we give you a reasonable opportunity to remedy it first. Where we end a paid term for a reason other than your breach, or where we discontinue the plan you paid for, we refund the unused part of the term. On termination your builds stop working as described in section 8 and your server-side session material is revoked. You may stop using pluto at any time. Termination does not affect accrued rights, sections 11 through 17, section 21, or any provision that by its nature should survive.
11. intellectual property; complaints
As between you and us, we own the launcher, builds, site, branding, and documentation we created, and the intellectual property rights in them. Third-party and open-source components included in our builds remain subject to their own licences, which continue to apply to you. Except for the license in section 3, nothing grants you any right in our material. If you believe material in our service infringes your intellectual property rights, email legal@pluto.lgbt identifying the work, the infringing material, and your authority to act. We investigate valid complaints promptly and remove or disable infringing material where appropriate. Nothing in this section limits remedies available to us for infringement of our own rights.
12. disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, pluto is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. This does not apply to consumers where the law does not permit implied terms to be excluded, and it does not remove any obligation that digital content supplied under a consumer contract must conform to. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of defects.
13. limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of accounts, profiles, rankings, virtual items, data, goodwill, revenue, or profits, or for any ban, suspension, or restriction imposed by a third party, however caused. Our aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to pluto shall not exceed the greater of the total amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or 100 EUR. Some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, infringement of your intellectual property rights, or our obligations under data protection law. Where mandatory consumer law gives you a higher right, that right applies instead.
14. indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us against third-party claims to the extent they arise from your material breach of these terms, your wilful misconduct, or your violation of a third party's rights, and to the extent permitted by consumer law. We will give you prompt notice, allow you to control the defence, and not settle a claim in a way that admits liability on your part without your consent. We are not liable for losses caused by our own acts or omissions, and this section does not apply where consumer law does not permit it.
15. governing law; disputes; complaints
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Where the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence gives you rights you cannot waive, that law prevails, and you may bring proceedings there. We will try to resolve a dispute first: write to contact@pluto.lgbt with a short description and we will respond within two business days. That step never blocks urgent relief, a statutory refund deadline, or a limitation period, and you never need a Discord account to use it. If we cannot settle it, the courts of Sweden have jurisdiction, except that we may seek interim or injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction, including for intellectual-property infringement or a breach of sections 3, 5, or 6.
You can complain to your local consumer authority. In Sweden that is the Swedish Consumer Agency (Konsumentverket) or Hallå konsument, and you can also take a dispute to the Swedish Complaints Board (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden). The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
16. sanctions, export control, and restricted countries
You represent that you are not located in, ordinarily resident in, or acting for or on behalf of a person located or resident in a comprehensively sanctioned jurisdiction, and that you are not listed on an applicable sanctions, denied-party, or debarred list. You shall not use, export, re-export, or transfer pluto in breach of applicable export-control or sanctions law. Where a legal prohibition requires it, we geo-restrict, suspend, or end service. Where a restriction is our own commercial decision rather than a legal requirement, we say so at the time and you can ask us which it is.
17. assignment; severability; waiver; entire agreement
You may not assign or transfer these terms or your license without our prior written consent. We may assign ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or restructuring, subject to applicable law. If a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it is disapplied to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder continues in force. No waiver is effective unless in writing. These terms, with the privacy and refunds policies, are the entire agreement between us about pluto, except that nothing in them limits a right you have under mandatory consumer law, or a remedy for content that does not conform.
18. force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure or delay in performance (other than payment obligations) caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, sanctions, governmental action, internet or infrastructure failure, or action by Mojang, Microsoft, or a platform operator that disrupts the service. If an event of this kind stops us supplying the service for the rest of a term you have paid for, we refund the unused part of that term.
19. usernames and profile pictures
You can change your username from your account once every 30 days, after confirming your password. Your previous username stays reserved for you for 45 days, then becomes available to others. Usernames must not impersonate anyone, infringe anyone's rights, or be offensive, and we may require you to change one that does.
You can upload a profile picture. Upload only pictures you have the right to use and that are lawful. You keep your rights in the picture and give us a licence only to store it and show it to you. You can remove it at any time. To report a picture or username you believe is illegal, email legal@pluto.lgbt with what it is, why it is illegal, and your contact details. If we remove a picture or require a username change, we tell you what we did, why, and how to ask for a review.
20. changes to these terms
We may amend these terms from time to time. Material changes are announced in the Discord and emailed to the address on your account at least 14 days before taking effect, and a price change is notified at least 30 days ahead. If a change materially reduces what you get, you can cancel before it takes effect and keep the terms and price of your current term. The version in force when your purchase is made governs that purchase, and the version in force at each renewal governs the new term, in both cases subject to mandatory applicable law. We keep a copy of the version you accepted with your order.
